From June 9-13, an algae-powered Diamond DA42 is being flown at the ILA Berlin Air show by the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS).
The company stated that this biofueled Diamond DA42 is a first in aviation and any other aircraft since its biofuel is made from 100% algae. Also, the company stated that its time to transfer from kerosene, and that they would be happy if 10% of their fleet will be biofueled by 2040.
Algae are becoming a potential renewable energy source because experts say that it has the ability to gobble up carbon dioxide and strive in different kinds of places.
