The company stated that this biofueled Diamond  DA42 is a first in aviation and any other aircraft since its biofuel is made from 100% algae. Also, the company stated that its time to transfer from kerosene, and that they would be happy if 10% of their fleet will be biofueled by 2040.

Algae are becoming a potential renewable energy source because experts say that it has the ability to gobble up carbon dioxide and strive in different kinds of places.

Aside from the Diamond  DA42, a hybrid helicopter concept which combines an Opposed Piston Opposed Cylinder (OPOC) diesel engine with electrical power will also be presented in the air show.
